Deborah Fielding

Deborah started eventing in 1994 aged 13.  She regularly competed at the Pony Club Championships in both eventing and dressage.  At age 15 she represented Great Britain as part of the pony team at Ballindenisk, Ireland.   

When she was 18 she worked for international event rider Graham Law as a working pupil for a year, before attending university at Imperial College Wye Campus where she gained a 2.1 BSc Hon in Animal Science (Equine).  Her two horses went to university with her and with The Pearl Diver she reached CCI*** level, competing at Blenheim Palace, before an unfortunate accident meant The Pearl Diver had to be retired. 

Since finishing at University Deborah has been the sole rider for Picanini Stud, she has competed at the British Festival of Eventing Novice and Intermediate Championships and The British Dressage Regional Championships.   She is regularly placed from BE 100 to Intermediate level and her current top eventer Alla Cappella is now starting to compete at Advanced.

She has started the training of all our youngsters herself, ensuring they are produced at a pace that suits them so that they become confident in themselves.  They are now reaching an age where they are starting to compete two currently eventing are Picanini Mateya and Silver Primrose

As well as riding Deborah has continued too gain additional qualifications to further herself and the business she is a UKCC Level 2 Coach and a DEFRA Approved Artificial Insemination (A.I) Technician.  Whilst academically she has gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Mentoring and Coaching, and she is currently studying for a Masters Degree in Sports Coaching. 

Deborah would welcome new owners and offers coaching for other riders.
